Banu Kosifoğlu Human Resource & Internal Affairs Director

My birthday, which I loved to celebrate before, was a sad and unforgettable date for me after 1999. Because that was August 17th.

I wanted to study psychology for a lifetime. Instead, I graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University. Now I want to study that as a 2nd University, but they do not open that department. I didn’t get a degree, so I thought I’d be a candidate for human science anyway. I believed that the greatest discovery of human art of meaning was the journey of a person towards herself. I’ve been on these roads ever since.

I started my career in marketing. I have worked in many fields such as market research, product development, and corporate communication: Turkcell, Global Bilgi, Aksam Newspaper, Epsilon Publications… One day I read a book and found myself where my heart took me.

I was going to earn my life from my hobby. That exactly happened. But that hobby became 2nd highest export company engaged in their businesses in Turkey. It was not just a hobby anymore. 7-8 years later, that ended. And then I understood; even if you had a hobby at the beginning, you can deviate from your starting point. So if you are the type of person who aims to work, produce and keep the bar high all the time, one day comes and you can forget that your job is a hobby. After years of entrepreneurship, I can easily say that I have gained the most shocking and valuable experiences of my life in these years.

I started back in 1995 and returned to my professional life. I started working in the field of Human Resources that I wanted for years. I found the opportunity at Gastrocast Advanced Solutions Consulting.

I’m married and I have a son.
I love spending time everywhere there are trees, especially reading books.
I respect everything that has creativity in it.
From painting to theater, I love all branches of art.
My faith in the depth and power of experiences is endless.
In my life, I believe that I will be happy as long as I can be tolerant, loving and transparent.

I have been a Sia member since April 2017. I love being here.
